With the end of financial year approaching, a Logan private college had a clean out of storage spaces and produced a number of laptops and PCs they wanted to dispose of in a sustainable manner. After receiving a recommendation from the Catholic Diocese in Brisbane, the Logan college contacted Buyequip.
By the providing a list of assets to Buyequip and nominating the level of data destruction required on the eWaste, a purchase price was offered to the college.
The service provided by Buyequip included:
- Collection
- Asset tags removed and recorded
- 3 pass wipe data destruction on every hard drive
- Thorough reporting including a full audit report and data destruction certificate
Buyequip Puts Money Back into College’s IT Budget
After receiving and processing the equipment Buyequip confirmed a $99.50 cash rebate to the college. With a quick and easy collection and money to put back in towards their IT budget, the college realised that engaging Buyequip for a collection was not only cost effective but easier than disposing of their equipment themselves.
